Pudsey, Horsforth & Aireborough MP Stuart Andrew visited Guiseley-based Companion Stairlifts and Bathing last week.
Companion was established in the town in 2003 and now offers a design and installation service for home adaptations such as stairlifts and accessible bathrooms. This service comes with a project manager to ease any stress or worry that would otherwise accompany such reservations. The 100-strong team includes 50 people based in the Guiseley office, and the company is keen to forge links with other local organisations and community groups who may be looking for support in 2017.
Companion director David Harrison said: “We were delighted to welcome Mr Andrew to our office and to let him know all about Companion. As an established Guiseley business we’re keen to find out all we can about ways to get involved with our local community.”
Companion currently sponsors Baildon Trinity Dynamos Junior Football Club which hosts teams from under 7's all the way up to under 11's. Sponsoring Baildon Trinity Dynamos Junior Football club has inspired co-founder and managing director Clare Brophy who says the company wants to do more. the company is also keen to hear from local community groups and schools about how they could be supported.
“As a thriving business we really want to build stronger links and relationships with people of all ages. We want to keep on giving back to the community which has supported us from the outset, and our growing team has a lot of enthusiasm for rolling their sleeves up and making a difference!”
“We’d love to hear from local schools who may be looking for work experience and mentoring opportunities, or community groups in need of help with fundraising this year,” added Clare, who won the Forward Ladies Retail Business Woman of the Year award in 2016 for the Yorkshire, North East and Scotland region.
